Northwest Numerics, Inc. is proud to be celebrating
14 years of providing state-of-the-art finite element analysis
and material simulation software products. The Z-set package
includes the Z-mat material constitutive
model library, and a full-featured general purpose FEA solver Zebulon.
The latest distribution of Z-set/Z-mat is 8.3.10 which was released May 2009 for a variety of unix and windows platforms. The distribution can be obtained from our Downloads page, or please Contact us for more information or CD-ROM media. There are many new features such as connectivity with the abaqus ODB files, rich finite strain plasticity models for polymers, as well as general improvement for all the great general viscoplasticity and durability models.
Z-mat is now available for use with Abaqus/Standard and /Explicit, ANSYS, LS-DYNA, MARC, and Samcef. Much of NW Numerics' recent activities have been related to our development of a state-of-the-art testing facility, including elevated temperature, TMF, fatigue crack growth, creep and general mechanical testing capabilities. Our focus with this development is to better serve customer needs for material calibrations and life predictions related to their high quality Z-mat FEA computations.
